THE EDIBLE WATER BOTTLE !!!!

 


     Yes, this really is an edible water bottle. Or in other words, we can say 'The Future of Water Bottles'. As we all know the use of plastic containers for carrying water is a major issue nowadays. The plastic containers are causing a great threat to our environment. The plastic containers take almost 700 years to decompose. In 2009 report almost 30 billion water bottles were discarded in the US alone. Out of that, only 7% was recycled. Most of Such wastes end up in the oceans.
One of the most Shocking fact!! is that to make one water bottle you need 7 litres of water and  162 centilitres of oil. Also, the 90% of the cost of the water bottle is for the bottle, not the water. The use of plastic bottles is increasing 10 % per year.
     The people who have come up with this idea are some Design Engineers from Spain. IT IS CALLED "OOHO!". This is an edible water bottle. This is basically a  membrane which can encapsulate water. The use of the membrane is a really efficient way of encapsulating liquids because most of them are in interaction, not compression. The membrane is made of  algae. When you mix this algae with calcium and water it creates a gel and this gel can contain water. This method is not a new one. This method was actually used for making fake Caviar.
     This could be a new way of packaging because this is a very simple way, it is extremely cheap, it is bio-degradable and also edible.
     So tell me what would you guys use. The plastic water bottle or the edible water bottle. Both of them have their own pros and cons. The PET water bottles - high functionality, you can close it back, you can buy it almost anywhere, it's quite resistant may be more than what we needed. But with easiness comes more risks. It is something which can cause a major risk to us and also our environment. On the other hand, the edible water bottle is bio-degradable, very cheap, edible but it has less shelf life and also not that resistive. The cons of the edible water bottle can be improved with time using new technologies.

    What about hygein, the algea contaoner which will be eating ,how someone will sell that?. If we people passing that to other it may contaminate with bacterias, viruses and there will be risk of infections.
    On other hand water bottle will be less risky in this area

WHAT IF EVERYONE ON EARTH JUMPED AT ONCE ?

So you might be wondering what would happen if everyone on earth jumped at the exact same time.
